HELICOPTER DRONE

Client Project | Industrial Design & Concept Study

The Project

Originally commissioned as a design study, this helicopter drone was developed to translate a specific operational brief into a professional industrial form. The primary objective was to move away from typical “skeletal” drone aesthetics and define an integrated silhouette. As the project was intended to attract investment for further development, the focus remained on the industrial design and visual concept rather than full engineering.

The Solution

The design focuses on a streamlined protective shell that conceals internal systems, providing a “market-ready” appearance. A key part of the brief was the conceptual integration of an external cargo interface, allowing specialized transport modules to be attached outside the main fuselage.

To ensure a balanced airframe, we utilized a triple-battery configuration—two units positioned on the lower airframe and a third at the rear. The scope of work covered everything from initial concept ideation and form studies to the hard-surface SubD modeling and high-end CGI visualization needed for investor presentations.

Key Features

  • External Modular Cargo: Conceptual design for a specialized transport crate intended for secure payload delivery.
  • Triple-Battery Configuration: A strategic layout featuring lower and rear-mounted units for optimal airframe balance.
  • Integrated Airframe: A departure from exposed wiring and components, utilizing a protective fuselage for a high-end appearance.
  • Propulsion Layout Study: Conceptual placement of high-torque motors and flight controllers within a balanced, aerodynamic shell.
