CHOLA e-BOAT
Collaborative Project | Electric Marine Design & Clay Modeling
The Project
Developed in collaboration with HilMil Solutions, the Chola e-Boat project was designed for the electric marine market. Based on extensive market research, DR Consulting proposed a cuddy cabin configuration as the most viable strategic direction. The objective was to balance high passenger capacity with practical logistics, accommodating up to 12 people on a 7.5-meter platform while maintaining a 2.4-meter beam for standard trailer transport.
The Solution
The design features a continuous, wave-like character line running from bow to stern. This element breaks hull reflections—reflecting the water on the lower section and the sky on the upper—to create a sleeker, more elongated silhouette. The interior is engineered around a flat deck architecture with a seating area that converts into a class-leading 2.8m x 1.8m sunbed.
As a unique showcase for the industry, Djordje partnered with Papa’s Clay Sculpture Pro to create a 1:10 scale physical model. Rather than a standard validation tool, this was a dedicated project to demonstrate the application of professional clay in marine design—a rarity in the field—showcasing the fluidity and precision of the surfaces in a physical medium.
